Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TextForge AI (the "Service"), available at this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and TextForge AI ("we", "us", "our"). Your continued use of the Service following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Description of Service

TextForge AI is a web-based AI text generation tool that allows users to generate professional written content including, but not limited to:

• Professional biographies and personal bios
• Product descriptions and marketing copy
• Emails and professional correspondence
• Social media posts and captions
• Slogans and taglines

The Service uses the DeepSeek Chat language model via the OpenRouter API, routed through a secure Cloudflare Pages Function. The Service is provided free of charge and requires no user registration.

Eligibility

You must meet the following conditions to use the Service:

• You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age if you are located in the European Union)
• If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction
• Your use of the Service must not be prohibited by any applicable law or regulation in your country or region

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

Permitted Use

TextForge AI grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful purposes. The following uses are expressly permitted:

Prohibited Use

You agree that you will not use the Service to generate, distribute, or facilitate content that:

• Is illegal under any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Constitutes hate speech, discrimination, or incitement to violence against any person or group
• Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or invasive of another person's privacy
• Infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Constitutes spam, phishing, or deceptive commercial communications
• Is intended to impersonate any person, entity, or brand without their authorization
• Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code of any kind
• Exploits, harms, or targets minors in any way
• Facilitates, promotes, or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm
• Violates the usage policies of OpenRouter or DeepSeek

Your Content & Ownership

You retain full ownership of the text prompts you submit to the Service. By submitting a prompt, you grant TextForge AI a temporary, limited license to process that prompt solely for the purpose of generating the requested content.

Regarding the AI-generated output:

• The generated text is provided to you for your unrestricted use, including commercial purposes
• We make no claim of ownership over any content generated through your use of the Service
• You are responsible for ensuring that your use of generated content complies with all applicable laws
• We do not store, index, or reproduce your prompts or outputs after the generation session ends

AI-Generated Content

You acknowledge and understand the following regarding AI-generated content:

• No guarantee of accuracy: AI-generated text may contain factual errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Always review and verify content before publishing or relying on it.
• Not professional advice: Generated content does not constitute legal, medical, financial, or any other form of professional advice. Consult a qualified professional for such matters.
• Possible similarities: AI models are trained on large datasets. Generated text may occasionally resemble existing published works. You are responsible for verifying originality if required.
• Tone and quality: While we optimize prompts for quality, we do not guarantee that generated output will meet your specific standards or requirements.
• Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for how you use, publish, or distribute any AI-generated content produced through the Service.

API Key Responsibility

TextForge AI uses a server-side OpenRouter API key to power the AI generation. This key is managed by us as a Cloudflare environment secret and is never exposed to end users.

However, if you choose to deploy your own instance of TextForge AI using our open-source code:

• You are solely responsible for the security of your own API key
• You are responsible for all usage and associated costs on your OpenRouter account
• You must comply with OpenRouter's Terms of Service and usage policies
• You must not share your API key publicly or embed it in client-side code
• Any unauthorized or fraudulent use of your API key is your responsibility

TextForge AI is not responsible for any charges, account suspensions, or damages resulting from misuse of your personal OpenRouter API key.

Intellectual Property

All elements of the TextForge AI Service — including but not limited to the website design, user interface, logo, branding, CSS, JavaScript code, and the overall look and feel — are the exclusive property of TextForge AI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service's interface or design
• Use our logo, name, or branding without prior written permission
• Claim ownership of the TextForge AI name, brand, or technology
• Decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service

The underlying AI model (DeepSeek) and API infrastructure (OpenRouter, Cloudflare) are the intellectual property of their respective owners, subject to their own terms and licenses.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextForge AI expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated content
• Warranties that generated content will be suitable for any particular purpose or audience
• Warranties that the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TextForge AI, its operators, affiliates, employees, or partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any content generated through the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service
• Third-party services (OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Cloudflare) failing or behaving unexpectedly
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed zero (€0 / $0).

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party providers, each governed by their own terms of service:

• OpenRouter — API routing and model access. Your use of TextForge AI is also subject to OpenRouter's Terms of Service.
• DeepSeek — AI language model powering the generation. Subject to DeepSeek's Terms of Service.
• Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, and serverless functions. Subject to Cloudflare's Terms of Service.
• Google Fonts — Typography delivery. Subject to Google's Terms of Service.

TextForge AI is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of any third-party service. Links to third-party websites or services are provided for your convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled or emergency maintenance
• Outages at Cloudflare, OpenRouter, or DeepSeek infrastructure
• Force majeure events beyond our control
• High traffic or abuse mitigation measures
• Technical failures or security incidents

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service — or any part of it — at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via the homepage.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms of Use at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Material changes that significantly affect your rights will be announced prominently on the TextForge AI homepage. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

If you disagree with the revised Terms, your only recourse is to discontinue your use of the Service.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent in the territory where TextForge AI operates, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
